Kanban boards should be horizontally reversed!

Just an idea

Everybody knows. On a classic Kanban board one should typically set up columns like To do, In progress, and Done. Like this:

That’s fine at the beginning of a project as then you’d rather look at the left side of the diagram first, but — think about it — doesn’t it feel wrong when things are at their later stages?

Times flies towards the future, so the columns should be better reordered as: Done, In progress, and To do, instead!

And here you go, you’re actually building a simplified Gantt chart now, and you can draw straightforward dependencies, visualize progress on items in a more logical fashion, and more! 🙃
